Objective
Sub-Zero and Wolf – global leaders in high-end kitchen appliances – set out to grow brand recognition in the Australian market. With a strong heritage in the US but limited local awareness, they needed a way to connect directly with a discerning, niche audience: architects and designers working on premium residential kitchens.
Their existing digital ecosystem relied heavily on US-centric content and lacked a localised email program.
Sub-Zero and Wolf needed a content-led solution that could speak the language of Australia’s design professionals, both visually and editorially.

APPROACH
Content Empire developed a new flagship eNewsletter – Design Possibilities – an aspirational, visually-led publication crafted specifically for architects and designers in Australia. Rather than driving readers to a US website, we created a standalone editorial experience that delivered value in the inbox itself.
Each quarterly edition is built around a tightly structured content model, with a visual strategy that mirrors the brand’s premium positioning and incorporates editorial layouts, elegant typography and immersive imagery that would feel at home in a luxury design magazine. Content our audience values includes product spotlights, design inspiration and brand storytelling.
To speak directly to the design-savvy audience, our creative direction was grounded in visual elegance and restraint. Key design features included:
- Large-format imagery of real-world, award-winning kitchens
- Minimalist editorial layouts inspired by high-end architecture titles
- Premium font pairings and generous white space
- Consistent, elevated branding across all touchpoints
RESULTS
From its launch, Design Possibilities struck a chord. Every edition has achieved stellar open rates (smashing industry averages), with no drop off more than 12 months into the partnership.
A digitally refined, visually immersive experience has resonated with its niche professional audience and established Design Possibilities as a key brand asset for Sub-Zero and Wolf in Australia.
